Two Systems - Music By Modular Synthesisers

Wrangler / Scanner
Static Caravan Records

Released: 1st October 2008

7"£3.91Out of Stock

Two Ra Chord blasts of ‘Switched on Bach’ beauty performed by WRANGLER and SCANNER who first met whilst fighting over a copy of ‘Switched on Paddy Kingsland’ at a record fair. These Supraphon pyjama wearing artisans have by loving of various knobs and switches, the sweet caressing of sequencers and event generators and manipulation of patchcords, created the sounds and rhythms for a discerning ear. Whilst Benge / Winters and Scanner have avoided the trap of being academic beard noodlers with this release, they have invoked the spirit of John Baker, White Noise and of course Bob Moog.
Featuring sounds made exclusively on the Moog Modular System 3C and the Formant Modular Synthesiser this seven inch is a radiophonic joy, working as a platter to play out as well as a companion piece to their Twenty Systems meisterwork.

Fans of Delia Derbyshire, Daphne Oram, Wendy Carlos, Brian Eno or the recent John Baker Tapes are recommended to check this.

300 edition picture disc seven inch in picture sleeve.
